OUR VISION

We are a flourishing community of friendship, support, and personal growth. Through shared meals, art projects, and cultural experiences, everyone feels seen and valued for who they are and where they have come from. Our community knows that we are stronger together.

OUR MISSION

We combat loneliness by building authentic connections through creative expression and meaningful conversation.

Loneliness and isolation have been designated a public health crisis:

We believe, as does the AMA, that loneliness is a public health issue, especially among those who are isolated or lack social connections. We desire to enhance the lives of the disconnected.

We believe we are designed to be engaged in meaningful relationships and connectedness to flourish.

Life shared with others is more meaningful, and healthier!

Jeremy Nobel, MD, MPH, Author, noted in his recent book, Project Unlonely, the prescription for what we can do about loneliness: "Be curious. Make Something. Have Conversations."---PostScript Outreach has been doing these 3 things for the past 10 years and has reaped the rewards of this practice.

There is more to your story.

Sharing your story and hearing others' stories bring clarity, understanding, and healing within yourself and your relationships. We all long to be seen, known, and heard. As we witness the change and growth in others, we are encouraged to seek change and growth within ourselves.

As much as some of us might be resigned to loneliness, we all come up against the immutable fact that we are innately social animals.  Connection is essential to our humanity and to our well-being.  When we are too lonely for too long, the way we make sense of the world changes, leaving us increasingly at risk for even greater levels of loneliness.  We fail to thrive and flourish, we get sick, we spread the affliction to others, and we die before our time.(used with permission)
